Paisley Paradise

This week is going to be hectic for me so I wanted to give you a fashion packed post today!
(because I may not post again for a few days.. maybe next Monday)

Style Tip: If the dress is long, make them shoes high!

Skirt (made dress): BP Nordstrom Clearance $15
Vest: Target Super Clearance $3 (twas a XL)

Wedges: Love Culture ~$17

Elephant Necklace: Plato's Closet $8
Belt: Thrifted (used a plenty in past posts)

Further exploration into my 'fashion tip'
The reason I say long dress = high shoes is because {being 5'2} when skirts, dresses, shorts etc. go past your knee you start to look very scrunched and overtaken by the item.

Don't let your clothes wear you -- show them who is boss and work together :)

-x-x-x-
I absolutely love this outfit it is a go-to when I need to be semi-casual/dressy.

Ps: can you imagine how long of a skirt this would have been on me!
When I tried it on at Nordstrom as a dress one of the workers was flabbergasted by the fact that you could wear a skirt as a dress!
I was taken-aback by the fact that she had never done it before!

Outfit Total: $43
Worn 5+ times
=$8.6 per wear
(it could actually be seen as cheaper considering I wear all the items with various other outfits!)

Star Stunned Eagle

I finally registered to vote today!
-woohoo-

So in the spirit of this I wanted to rep. my homeland!
(so of course I decided to wear combat boots, a harley d's shirt and some high waisted red star shorts!)

Harley Davidson Top - Thrifted (roommates)
Hand Sewn Vintage Shorts (roommates mom's)

Art Show {Adamo Collection Release}

As many of you know I am working with Adamo Collection as their Fashion Stylist.
This weekend we had local artists partner us for our lines first appearance.

We had hundreds of people come for the art show and clothing line premier and with an amazing D.J and open bar it was a hit!

Here are some snaps of the night!

The new line!
Touch me. Feel Me. Love me.
The fabris is incredibly soft! After feeling the shirts you cannot help but want to wear them 24/7!
You can buy them here

Button Back

Remember that 50% off at Savers?
That is where I bought this shirt!
(entire outfit thrifted)

I absolutely love the buttons on the back! Brings so much character to the piece!
John Roberts Vintage ($1.50)

Paired with some (unironed due to college life)Rafaella Vintage Shorts ($4.00)

Simply whipping my hair back and forth.

I felt very retro in this get up -- and rightly so considering its all vintage! To go with the theme of it I paired it with a nice cat eye

Hopefully I will be doing more outfit posts on a regular basis, it just depends on when Natalie and I are able to meet up!

ps: if you didn't see my earlier post today, I was contacted by Mary Kay to do some product reviews. So if you are curious about a certain product let me know and I will test it out!

Thanks for reading!

Mary Kay Products

So I have been asked to do a couple product reviews for Mary Kay on my blog and I have been given the choice of which products to test.

SO.

What should I test? What products are you all most curious about?

Looking for a new mascara? eyeliner? maybe a new lipstick?

Let me know! So I can give them a-go!

Thanks so much! :)

Alterna {ties}

It was 50% off at Savers yesterday for Presidents Day where I live.
A few friends and I went in between classes to see
what the glorious treasure trove had to offer us!

I came across this jacket and tie that I thought went marvelously together.
Usually men don't want to mix patterns but lately in the fashion world its 'all the rage.'

I would have saved this post for my Mens Wear Mondays, but I am going to move this post in a direction towards 'mah ladies.'

I love ties. Im just going to say that now, so seeing this tie yesterday inspired me to show some amazing projects I want to do with ties.
(some of these images were found on pintrest and have no source)

What I found:

For the 'Hubby'
I found this to be the cutest idea ever.
Could be used for:
1. Wedding day
2. Anniversary Gift
3. Valentines Day
4. Simple Surprise on one of his ties

 For the home:
What a cute wreath! Am I right?!
How to do:
(this is possibly wrong I'm just eying it)
1. Buy one of those green wreath shapes at a craft store, or a ring shaped PVC pipe
2. Cut ties 3/4 up
3. Superglue the tie where you bend it to the pipe or sew into green wreath shape
4. Continue until covered.

 For you:
I will definitely be making one of these.
(guessing the making process)
1. Find ties
2. Sew all ends together
3. Get cardboard or some-other bendable sturdy-enough product
4. Sew a second level of fabric and place cardboard in between so it is sturdy.

I came across this picture above a few months ago, and I still want to make one!!

Looks like I am going to be collecting a good amount of ties in these next few months!

I hope you all found these projects as fun and creative as I did!

The Wild Wild ...Africa?

I was really excited to wear these earrings today!
Before I left for school my mom gave me some of her old jewelry from when she was in her 20-30's.

They are big, random, and beautiful!

I absolutely love these cowboy hat earrings!
(BTW- this entire outfit was all thrifted)

Giraffe Patterned Blouse: Orig. Forever 21

Earrings: Momma

Jeans: Orig. Sold Denim Lab ($5 at thrift store)
Boots: (remember these from previous posts?) $2 at thrift store

{Dream} Sequence

This post is a few pictures of things that remind me of a fairytale.

I am all about following your dreams and not stopping until you accomplish what you desire.

These pictures were not only inspiring but also artistically beautiful; I hope you all enjoy.

Where To Buy: Cake Vintage
You could easily do this yourself with a bunch of old door locks!

Blue Moon Pumpkin (that is its actual color)

-You can easily create this without buying a Blue Moon pumpkin
with some spray paint and a sponge-

Source: unknown
I absolutely love the royal blue with the fairytale pink and rhinestones; it is so beautiful.

S.A.D (happy valentine's day)

Single Awareness Day (AKA S.A.D)

Today in the spirit of love I am going to share some of the things I have loved lately online!
But first....
Couldn't help myself <3

(found on pintrest-- do not know the brand so sad)
I love how sophisticated this dress is, but it has such a childish feature on it.
I love how they made the kid-like bow so elegantly appealing.

(pintrest, unknown brand)
Leopard Heels - I want a pair so badly! I keep my eyes open at every thrift store I go to!

Cheetah/Camo Raybans Style Sunglasses

Turquoise - I will love it forever and on anything! But these shoes are amazing!
I love the thick straps!

This fun A-Line dress from Threadsence.
I love their lookbook every time it is released -- thought I would share something that caught my eye from them!
